Getting Started with Certify and Zephyr Integration

The Getting Started section provides information on getting started with the Certify and Zephyr integration, and the How To section provides detailed procedures.

Before you can integrate Certify with Zephyr, you must have the following items installed and configured:

Worksoft Portal

Zephyr

When integrating Certify with Zephyr, you will create and configure your projects and test cases in Atlassian Jira® and enable Zephyr's features within it.

  • Generate a Zephyr API access token in Jira.

  • In Jira, create a project you want to use for synchronization with Certify.

This project is automatically synchronized with Certify and appears as a folder under the Certify project you specify in the Integration Gateway configuration.

  • Enable the project.

  • Create folders and test cases within the synchronized project.

During synchronization, the folders and test cases are automatically created in Certify under the folder you created in Zephyr.

Test case steps are not synchronized, so all steps must be created exclusively in Certify.

  • Add users and permissions to the project. You must assign permissions for test cases, test cycles, test plans, test executions, reports, and configuration.

For information about configuring Zephyr, see the Zephyr Help.

Worksoft Certify

  • Create a project that you will use for the Zephyr synchronization.

You will specify this project during the Integration Gateway configuration.

  • Create a user for the integration and add Read and Write permissions for results to view execution logs and results in the Worksoft Results UI.

For more information, see Creating New Certify Users and Assigning Permissions.

  • Add the user to the project with Read, Write, and Execute permissions.

For more information, see Assigning Permissions to Projects.

  • After synchronizing with Zephyr, add steps to the test cases.

Test case steps are not synchronized, so all steps must be created exclusively in Certify.

For more information, see Adding Steps to Processes.

  • If needed, you can add folders within the specified project that will be synchronized in Zephyr.
