Assigning Permissions to Projects

In the Projects window, administrators can assign user and groups permissions for Certify projects. Only those with permissions will be able to access the processes and results within this project.

To assign permissions to projects:

  1. In the Navigation pane, click Projects.

The Projects window opens.

  1. In the Summary pane, click a project.
  2. In the Details pane, click the Permissions tab.
  3. Right-click in the tab and select Edit Permissions.

The Permissions dialog opens.

  1. Right-click in the dialog and select Add User/Group.

The Select User/Group dialog opens.

  1. Select one or multiple users and groups.

    For multiple users, press the <Ctrl> key while selecting each user and group. For a range of consecutive users and groups, press the <Shift> key when selecting the range.

  2. Click OK.

The users and groups are added to the Permissions dialog.

  1. Select permissions for each user and group:

    Permission

    Description

    No access

    User has no access to Certify.

    Read access

    User can view and export in Certify, but not create, edit, or import data.

    Write access

    User can view, create, edit, import, and export data in Certify.

  1. Click OK.

    The Users and Groups appear in the Permissions tab.

To remove users and groups from a project:

  1. In the Navigation pane, click Projects.

The Projects window opens.

  1. In the Summary pane, click a project.
  2. In the Details pane, click the Permissions tab.
  3. Right-click in the tab and select Edit Permissions.

The Permissions dialog opens.

  1. Right-click on a user or group and select Remove User/Group.

The user or group is removed from the project.

  1. Click OK.

The user or group no longer appears in the Permissions tab.
