Viewing a Process Summary and Variants in Process Intelligence
From the Process Summary tab, you can view process and activity details. For information on viewing step details, see Viewing Step Details of an Activity in Process Intelligence.
The Process Summary tab provides analysis of the sources and variants of a business process.
You can view the following information for each source:
- All file names
- Duration of each file
- Total number of steps
- Total number of automated steps
- Total number of steps not automated
You can view the following information for each variant:
- All variants
- Duration for each variant
- Total number of steps
- Source
In the Process Summary tab, you can perform the following tasks:
- Compare two Capture, Certify, and RPA files and matching steps
- Generate documentation
- Export process data to a BPMN file
- View repeated paths of process data
- Mark Capture files for automation
- Edit the assigned business process
To view process summary:

From the left Process Intelligence Navigation pane, click Process Analysis.
The Business Process Visualization page opens.

In the right pane, select a business process from the Business Process drop-down list.
The process appears in the Visualization page.

Click the Process Summary tab.
The Process Summary tab opens.
The Process Summary tab displays a list of sources with the variant frequency, unique variants, average duration, and the minimum and maximum duration.
To view by source:

From the By Source drop-down menu, select a source or click on a source in the Source column.
The files from the selected business process appears in the tab.

Select one or more files, and click Apply.
The selected files are highlighted in the Process Analysis page.
To view by variant:

From the By Source drop-down menu, select All Variants.
All variants appear in the Process Summary tab.

Select one or more variants.
The selected variants are highlighted in the Process Analysis page.

Click Apply.
Only the selected variants appear in the Process Analysis page.
