Merging Certify Processes
From the Processes window, you can merge two processes, compare two processes, and resolve any differences by selecting the Merge Into Other Process menu option. You are able to merge the following process items:
- Applications
- Application versions
- Objects
- Variables
- Layouts
- Recordsets
To merge Certify processes:

In the Certify Navigation pane, click Processes.
The Processes window opens.
- In the Navigation pane, select a process folder.

In the Summary pane, right-click on a process in which you want to merge and select Version & Usage > Merge Into Other Process.
This process is the Source process.
The Select Process dialog opens.
- In the Navigation pane, browse to the process folder where the process you want to merge is located.

Select the process in the Summary pane.
This process is the Target process.

Click OK.
The Merging Process dialog opens, and a comparison of both processes is shown. The middle column displays the results of the merged processes. The top panel displays the number of differences between the processes.

Use the following buttons to view the differences of the processes. The differences are highlighted in the tree.
If you have no differences, go to Step 9.

From the Source or Target columns, select which value you want to use for each difference.
After you choose a value from the Source or Target column, the Merged Target column is updated with the selected value.
- Use one of these methods to select process items for the Merged Target:
- Individually select process items from either the Source or Target columns.
- If you want to replace all of the process items with the Source process, click Replace Target.
- If you want to keep the original Target process items, click Keep Target.

Click Save after you have made your selection.
A message appears stating that process merge was successful.
- Click OK.
Editing Process Items From the Merging Process dialog
If you want to edit any of the process items from any of the columns, right-click on the process item and select Edit.
