Configuring Global Settings with the Certify Web Interface Options Tool

With the Certify Web Interface Options tool, administrators can set global settings by selecting eXtensibility Framework (XF) class definitions and configurations for all users. If no user settings are configured, global settings are used. All settings are stored in the Worksoft Certify database.

To configure global settings:

  1. Log on to Certify.
  2. From the Certify menu, select Configure > Web > Options.

    The Certify Web Interface Options tool opens.

  3. Click the Global Settings tab.

    The Global Settings tab opens.

  4. From the Definitions drop-down list, select a set of XF definitions.

    To appear in the drop-down list, the XF definitions need to have been imported. For more information, see Import XF Definitions and Configurations Files.

  5. From the Configurations drop-down list, select a set of configurations.

    The default configurations file is Factory.

  6. From the Scroll Into View drop-down list, select one of the following views:
  7. Top
  8. Middle
  9. Bottom
  10. Off
  11. From the Input Option drop-down list, select one of the following values:
  12. Set Value
  13. Send Keys
  14. From the Enable Metadata drop-down list, select one of the following values:
  15. True
  16. False
  17. If you want to use the Internet Explorer performance engine, select the Internet Explorer Performance Engine option.
  18. If you want to verify mouse and keyboard actions, select the Verify Mouse and Keyboard Actions in Browser option.
  19. Click Close to close the Certify Web Interface Options tool.
