Generating an Exploratory Certify Process From an Imported Capture File

An exploratory Certify process with screen captures can be automatically created with an imported Capture file and linked to a requirement for testing purposes. The Import Exploratory Test option allows you to see the steps that were taken to see if the process passed or failed. If the process failed, you will be able to see the steps that were taken to generate the error, and the test result can be submitted directly to a defect management system with the corresponding screen captures.

To generate an exploratory Certify process from an imported Capture file:

This process assumes that you have already created a Capture and that you have already created a requirement for this process. Using requirements with Import Exploratory Test is optional. For more information about Worksoft Capture, see Capturing Processes with Worksoft Business Capture.

If you want to create a step within your process that fails, add a Comment step that contains the text "fail." The step will be marked as failed in the result, and the other steps will be marked as passed.

If an image exists in the Capture file for the step, it will be added to the corresponding step in the Results Viewer. Only objects are captured, not windows.
