Creating Requirement Types
Certify administrators define requirement types and which attributes are visible for each requirement type.
To create a new requirement type:
- In the Navigation pane, click Extensions.
The Extensions window opens.

In the Navigation tree, right-click on Requirement Type and select New Requirement Type.
or
In the Requirement Type Summary pane, right-click in the pane and select New Requirement Type.
The New Requirement Type dialog opens.
- In the Name text field, enter a unique name.

Click OK.
The new requirement type appears in the Summary pane.
You now need to specify the attribute visibility. For more information, see Specifying Attribute Visibility for Requirement Types.
To edit a requirement type name:

In the Navigation pane, click Extensions.
The Extensions window opens.
- In the Requirement Type Summary pane, right-click on a requirement type and select Edit.
The Edit Requirement Type dialog opens.
- In the Name text field, edit the name.
- Click OK.
The updated requirement type appears in the Summary pane.
