Specifying Attribute Visibility for Requirements
Certify administrators can specify which attributes are visible for each requirement. By default, all new requirement types display all attributes.
To specify attribute visibility:
- In the Navigation pane, click Extensions.
The Extensions window opens.
- In the Navigation tree, select Attributes > Requirement > Visibility.
The Requirement Type Visibility Summary pane opens.
- In the Summary pane, right-click on a requirement type and select Edit Attribute Visibility.
The Visibility of Requirement Attributes dialog opens.
-
From the Show or Hide drop-down list, select one of the following options:
-
Show Checked Attributes
Specifies which attributes to show for a given requirement type.
-
Hide Checked Attributes
Excludes specific attributes. If a new attribute is defined, it will be visible for this requirement type.
-
- From the Attributes text field, select the attributes that you want to show or hide.
- Click OK.
A warning message appears and states that this change affects all projects with requirements of this type.
- Click OK.
- In the Summary pane, select the requirement type that you updated.
The Summary pane displays the option that you selected in the Show or Hide column, and the Details pane displays the attributes that you selected.
