Configuring Global Data for the UIA Interface

Configure the timeout for a process step in the Global Data tab of the UIA Configuration tool. Set the timeout in seconds for a step as it tries to find the UIA window and UIA object.

Listed below is a description of each section in the tab:

Option	Description
Step Completion Timeout Steps	Set the timeout in seconds for a step when the UIA interface attempts to find a window and object for the process step. This value is used only during Certify process execution and affects all UIA process steps. The default value is 20 seconds.
Custom Certify Class Map	Only use this option if directed to do so by Worksoft. This section displays a collection of class descriptions used internally by the UIA interface. By default, this collection is empty.
Standard Certify Class Map	Only use this option if directed to do so by Worksoft. This section displays a collection of class descriptions used internally by the UIA interface.

To set the timeout for a step:

From the Certify menu, select Configure > Interface > UIA.

The UIA Configuration tool opens.
Click the Global Data tab.

The Global Data tab opens.
In the Step Completion Timeout Seconds field, enter the number of seconds before a step times out, trying to find a UIA window and object.
Click Save.
