Connecting to Mobile Devices

In order to learn your mobile application, you must be able to connect to a mobile device with one of the following applications:

  • Digital.ai™ Assurance Lab (formerly Experitest Digital Assurance Lab)
  • Perfecto Mobile Continuous Quality Lab™

The Mobile Interface Configuration Setup tool helps you to configure your connection to your mobile device. The Certify Mobile Learn utility will not open without configuring your mobile device connection.

To connect to a mobile device to Digital.ai Assurance Lab:

  1. From the Certify menu, select Configure > Interfaces > Mobile.

    The Mobile Interface Configuration Setup tool opens.

  2. From the Provider drop-down list, select ExperiTest.
  3. In the URL field, enter the URL address for the Digital.ai Assurance Lab device.
  4. In the User ID field, enter the user ID.

  5. In the Password field, enter the password.

    If you organization uses proxy servers for HTTP connection, you need to add the proxy server information.

    If you are not using proxy servers, go to Step 10.

  1. If you are using a proxy server, enter the address in the Proxy Server field.
  2. In the Port field, enter the port number for the proxy server.
  3. In the Proxy User ID field, enter the user ID for the proxy server.
  4. In the Proxy Password field, enter the password for the proxy server.
  1. Click Save.

  1. Click OK when a message appears stating that your set up has been successful.

    You are now able to use Certify Mobile Learn.

To connect to a mobile device to Perfecto Mobile:

  1. From the Certify menu, select Configure > Interfaces > Mobile.

    The Mobile Interface Configuration Setup tool opens.

  2. In the Provider drop-down list, select Perfecto.
  3. In the Server IP Address field, enter the server address where Perfecto Mobile is installed.
  4. In the Port field, use the default port number 443.
  5. In the User ID field, enter the Perfecto user ID.

  6. In the Password field, enter the password for the Perfecto user.

    If you organization uses proxy servers for HTTP connection, you need to add the proxy server information.

    If you are not using proxy servers, go to Step 12.

  7. If you are using a proxy server, enter the address in the Proxy Server field.
  8. In the Port field, enter the port number for the proxy server.
  9. In the Proxy User ID field, enter the user ID for the proxy server.
  10. In the Proxy Password field, enter the password for the proxy server.
  11. If needed, select a video mode from the Video Mode drop-down list:
  12. RTMP (For systems without a proxy server)
  13. RTMPT (For systems with a proxy server)
  14. RTMPTS (For systems with a proxy server)

  15. Click Save.

  16. Click OK when a message appears stating that your set up has been successful.

    You are now able to use Certify Mobile Learn.
