Certify Mobile Learn User Interface

The Certify Mobile Learn user interface consists of the following:

  • Learned Objects pane
  • Properties pane
  • Toolbar button
  • Menu options

Learned Objects Pane

The Learned Objects pane displays the learned objects of the application in a tree structure. The object right-click menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Option

Description

Highlight in App

Highlight an object in the application. When selected, the Certify Mobile Learn utility minimizes, and the application appears with the object highlighted.

Rename

Rename an object.

For more information, see Renaming Learned Objects.

Use As Anchor

Specify an object to be used as a page recognition anchor.

For more information, see Adding Window Anchors .

Delete

Delete object from the Learned Objects tree. The deleted object will not be included in the application map.

Copy Attribute String

Place the attribute string for the selected object onto the Clipboard. This feature allows you to paste an attribute string in the Certify Map editor if an attribute string needs to be updated or if you want to add an object manually.

Properties Pane

When you select an object in the Learned Objects pane, the following object's properties are displayed:

Property

Description

Logical Name

Text extracted from the region selected on the screen. You are able to modify the text.

Physical Name

For the Mobile interface, the physical name does not influence identification criteria.

Region

Represents rectangle drawn by the user to create an object.

Offset

Relative distance from the Image or Text object to the actual point of interest.

Certify Class

Represents type of object:

  • Image
  • Region
  • Window

Class

Represents type of object:

  • Image
  • Region
  • Window

Offset

For image objects only

Use button to update offset for selected node.

Use button to clear offset for selected node.

Attribute String

Attribute string for the selected object.

 

Toolbar Buttons

Certify Mobile Learn has the following toolbar buttons:

New

Clear existing map in the Learned Objects pane so that you can start learning a new window.

Save

Save learned map.

Find

Search for specific objects in the Learned Objects tree. The Find operation highlights and bookmarks all items in the tree that contain the search text. The status bar displays how many items were found.

File Menu

The File menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Description

New

Clear existing map in the Learned Objects pane so that you can start learning a new window.

Save

Save learned map.

Save As

Save learned map.

Debug Mobile Learn

Select this option if you would like to create a Certify Mobile Learn log file.

If you select this option then the log file will be created in the following directory:

%AppData%\Worksoft\Mobile\MobileLearnLog.txt

Execution Log

Open the Certify Mobile Learn log file.

Exit

Exit the Certify Mobile Learn utility.

View Menu

The View menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Always on Top

Select this option to keep Certify Mobile Learn on top of all windows on the screen.

Find

Search for specific objects in the Learned Objects tree. The Find operation highlights and bookmarks all items in the tree that contain the search text. The status bar displays how many items were found.

Device Menu

The Device menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Option

Description

Connect/Disconnect

Select to connect from a device in the list or disconnect from a connected device.

Generate Map

Generate a map from the selected device.

In addition to the application maps, you will need to import a device map into Certify. You need one map file for each device. For more information, see Generating a Map for a Mobile Device.

Learn Menu

The Learn menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Option

Description

Learn First View

Learn the current screen on the mobile application. A window object is created with Untitled as being the logical name. You should rename the object with a recognizable name.

Learn Next View

This option will be enabled only if a window was learned with First View.

The Learn Next View option adds the current screen image to an existing window object and uses this latest screen image as a reference image for objects created after this image.

Tools Menu

The Tools menu options allow you to do the following tasks:

Highlight in App

Highlight an object in the application. When selected, the Certify Win Learn utility minimizes, and the application appears with the object highlighted.

Rename

Rename an object.

For more information, see Renaming Learned Objects.

Force Window Unique

Specify a unique name for the map to force Certify to consider the map as being new. When importing maps, Certify will not try to resolve this map against maps previously made of this window.

Specify Anchors

Specify anchors that help uniquely identify the selected window.

Delete Objects

Delete objects from the Learned Objects pane. These objects will not be included in the generated map.

Mobile/Learn Mode

You are able to enable the Learn tool by clicking Mobile Mode. The mode changes to Learn Mode, and you are able to learn objects on the application.

When this option is on Mobile Mode, you are able to utilize the mobile device and application. You are able to click, select, scroll, and type text within the mobile device.
