Creating Microsoft Office Maps

The Microsoft Office interface does not have a Learn utility, and it does not require any third-party applications other than the Microsoft Office application being used. Certify LiveTouch is not supported.

For Microsoft Office applications, you will use the window name Office_Automation_Window.

Objects are not learned individually, but are accessed through the following corresponding Microsoft Office objects:

  • Office_Automation_Object
  • Excel_Automation_Object
  • Outlook_Automation_Object
  • PowerPoint_Automation_Object
  • Word_Automation_Object
  • Object

There is a generic set of Office maps that need to be in your database. The file name is Office_Automation_Map.msomap.

If you create a blank database, you must import the map file from the Certify install directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Worksoft\Certify\Interface Client\Worksoft\wsTest\Office.
