Creating Page Anchors

Anchors are added to uniquely identify windows and should be added to windows before importing maps into Certify. Once anchors are set, you cannot learn additional views or create virtual windows until all anchors are removed.

In the Learned Objects pane of the Certify Java Learn utility, you can specify an object to be used as a recognition anchor.

To designate an object as an anchor:

In the Certify Java Learned Objects tree, right-click on an object and select Use as Anchor.

To remove an anchor:

In the Certify Java Learned Objects tree, right-click on the object designated as a page anchor and select Use as Anchor.

From the Tools menu, you can select an anchor from the Anchors dialog.

To select an anchor from the Anchors dialog:

  1. Learn the window, all tabs, and views of a Java application with Certify Java Learn.
  2. From the Certify Java Learn, select Tools > Specify Anchors.

    The Anchors dialog opens.

  3. In the Anchors dialog, select an object or objects to specify as anchors.
  4. Click OK to save the anchors.

To delete anchors from the Anchors dialog:

  1. From the Certify Java Learn, select Tools > Specify Anchors.

    The Anchors dialog opens.

  2. Clear the object that you no longer want as an anchor. To remove all anchors, click Unselect All.
