Finding Objects in an Application
You can use the following tools to find objects in an application:
- Highlight
- Highlight Using Attribute String
To use the Highlight tool:
In the Certify XF Web Learn tool, right-click on an object in the Learned Objects tree and select Highlight.
The Certify XF Web Learn utility minimizes, and the application appears with the object highlighted.
If needed, select the Scroll Into View option in the right-click menu to scroll the highlighted object into view.
To use the Highlight Using Attribute String tool:
If you make changes to the recognition attributes, then this tool allows you to verify the change and to find the object when running a test against that object.
In the Learned Objects tree, right-click on an object and select Highlight Using Attribute String.
The Certify XF Web Learn utility minimizes, and the Web application appears with the object highlighted.
Hover-Find Tool
You can also use the Hover-Find tool to select an object in an application and view the object name in the Learned Objects tree.
To use the Hover-Find tool:

In the Certify XF Web Learn toolbar, click the Hover-Find
button.

In the application, hover the mouse over the object in which you are interested and press <Ctrl>.
When you press the <Ctrl> key, the Certify XF Web Learn utility highlights the object in the Learned Objects tree, and Hover-Find is deactivated.
If needed, press the <Esc> key to turn this off Hover-Find.
