Getting Started with Certify Projects

The Getting Started section provides a high-level description on how to use Certify projects. For detailed procedures, see the How To section.

In Certify, a project is an organized collection of test assets that are defined for one or more application versions. Test assets include the following:

  • Application versions
  • Requirements
  • Processes
  • Layouts
  • Recordsets
  • Variables
  • Test results

Projects are created and modified in the Projects window by the Certify administrator after application versions are created. The administrator sets permissions to a project and assigns access to users and groups. Only users and groups with read or write access can open a project.

Multiple projects may exist in one database, and you can switch between projects without logging out and into Certify. When you log out of Certify and log back into Certify, the project you were working with is automatically the opened project.
