Creating Process Versions
You can take a snapshot of a process in development by creating a process version in Certify. By creating a process version, you preserve the process while developing and working on it. A process can have multiple versions.
When you delete a process, all versions are deleted. You can see the deleted process and process versions in the Change History tool.
To create a process version:

In the Worksoft Certify Navigation pane, click Processes.
The Processes window opens.

Right-click on a process in the Processes Summary pane and select Version & Usage > Create Version.
The Save Process Version dialog opens.
- In the Version Comment field, enter a comment that would help identify the process version.

Click OK.
The process version is created, and the version is now listed in the Versions tab in the Processes window.
Comparing a Process Version to a Current Version

In the Worksoft Certify Navigation pane, click Processes.
The Processes window opens.
- In the Processes Summary pane, select a process.
- Click the Versions tab.

Right-click on one of the process's version and select Compare Version to Current.
The Process Comparer dialog opens and displays these processes side by side. The top panel displays the number of differences between the processes.

Use the following buttons to view the differences of the processes. The differences are highlighted in the tree.

- If you want to merge the processes, click Merge.
Updating a Process Version Comment
If needed, you can update the comment of your process version.
To update a process version comment:

In the Processes window, right-click on a process version in the Versions tab and select Update Version Comment.
The Update Process Version Comment dialog opens.
- In the Version Comment field, update your comment.
- Click OK.
Restoring a Process Version
If needed, you can restore a process to a previous version.
To restore a process version:

In the Processes window, right-click on a process version in the Versions tab and select Restore Process.
A confirmation message appears.

Click OK.
A Version Restored message appears.
- If you want to open the restored process, click Yes or click No to not open the updated process.
Deleting a Process Version
To delete a process version, right-click on the version in the Versions tab and select Delete Version(s) and click OK to confirm the deletion.
