Comparing Results

In the Results window, you can compare a test result to another result with the Compare Results tool. When comparing results, you can compare the results in the following ways:

Level	Description
Compare Status Only	Compare the status of matched nodes. This option ignores details of matched and unmatched nodes. When this mode is selected, the only tree icons are status icons from the processes and steps.
Compare Status and Details	Compare the status and details of matched nodes. When this option is selected, tree icons indicate which nodes are different. If a value is changed, differences are recalculated and tree icons are reset.

The Compare Results tool allows you to select a node in one of the trees and navigate to a related process and step in the Process Editor. You are able to make changes to the process or step, and then execute the process again for comparison.

To compare results:

1. In the Certify Navigation pane, click Results.

The Results window opens.

2. In the Results Summary pane, right-click a process and select Compare to Other Result.

The Select Result dialog opens.

3. In the Results Summary pane, select the process you want to compare.
4. Click OK.

The Compare Results tool opens.

The first process appears in the left pane, and the process that was selected for comparison appears in the right pane.

5. From the drop-down list, select an option on how you want to view the comparison:

• Compare Status Only
• Compare Status and Details

6. If you want to view the all tree node values, select Show Details from the toolbar drop-down list.

A Details pane appears with the fields and values of all tree nodes. When you select a node, the pane displays the details for the selected node. 

7. Click the Close button when you have completed your result comparison.
