Executing Hooks

You can start an external program by executing a hook from a result in the Results Summary pane.

Hooks must be added to a project before you can execute the project. For more information, see Adding a Hook to a Project.

To execute a hook:

  1. In the Navigation pane, click Results.

The Results window opens.

  1. In the Summary pane, right-click a result and select Send To > [ hook name ] from the menu.

Certify starts the executable program or batch file through a direct program start request to the Windows operating system.

Other scripting types or file extensions that have associated programs are started by the Windows shell program. Data files associated with the instance and required asset type are saved.

The results are displayed in the external program.
