Creating Digital Workers

Worksoft RPA Orchestrator administrators create digital workers who work alongside employees to accomplish repeated tasks and processes so that employees can focus on value-added tasks.

To create digital workers:

  1. Open Worksoft RPA Orchestrator and select from the menu RPA Administration > Digital Worker.

The Create Digital Worker page opens.

  2. From the Machine Name drop-down list, select a machine where the digital worker will reside.

Only machines that are enabled appear in this list. For information on how to enable a machine, see Managing Orchestrator Agent Machines.

  3. In the Digital Worker Name field, enter a unique name for your worker.
  4. Select which Credential Type you will use:

  5. Worksoft
  6. CyberArk
  7. Enter your credentials for the Credential Type you selected.
  8. Select one of the following Digital Worker Types:
  9. Manual

When a process is in the queue, a Manual digital worker only executes the process once. After the digital worker executes the process, the process is removed from its queue.

  10. Job Queue

When a process is in the queue, a Job Queue digital worker starts execution and repeats it. The process is not removed from their queue after it has been executed.

  11. If you selected Job Queue as your digital worker type, set the Pacing option in minutes.

The Pacing option is the time between process execution. The pacing must be between 1-1,000 minutes.

  12. (Optional) If you want to associate RPA projects with the digital worker, select one or more projects in the Associated RPA Project(s) section. You can always remove a project.
  13. Save your digital worker by clicking on one of the following options:
  14. Save & Done

By clicking this option, the digital worker is saved, and you are redirected to the Digital Worker Administration page.

  15. Save & Add New Digital Worker

By clicking this option, a digital worker is saved, and you can create another digital worker.

  16. To start the digital worker, click the Play button next to the worker.
